DJ Duce interviews Tri-Clark Records new recording artist Lay Boogie on being newly signed and about the new music that is on the way.
DJ Duce: What do you look forward to in your music career being newly signed in 2020-2021? What is your passion behind your music?
Lay Boogie: My music career. I’m just going to keep doing more music and letting people hear my voice. More music runs on my dad and moms sides of the family. My passion behind my music is being a good mother with my first child. Rapping about the good and bad things in life and trying to stay on a positive level. Being a successful female artist is really my desire. Also hope to bring my best to Tri-Clark Records.
DJ Duce: The Female Artist wave has been very predominate in hip-hop music, especially in the last decade. What do you bring to the table that other female artists don't? What separates yourself from the competition?
Lay Boogie: If you listen to my music, you can hear the difference with me and other female artist. I’m talking real life things, rhymes kids will hear and repeat and not get in trouble for. When you have females artists today like Cardi B or Megan Da Stallion making the songs they’re making and not really thinking about the younger generation. The new generation of kids hearing it, don’t get me wrong they’re successful. Me as a young adult with 4 younger siblings that listen to my music, I wouldn’t allow them to listen to any explicit music.
DJ Duce: In 5 years, where do you want to be in music? Where do you see your music career in 5 years?
Lay Boogie: In 5 years, I wanna be far farther than where I’m at now and to be on the top of current female artists. I see my music career rising and shooting like a star over this industry. If I make the right decisions, I have the support now. Shout out to Tri-Clark Records! Magnetic, my twin brother D-a Capone and his good friend JtDaLegend. Also my father. My plans now I’m expecting my first child any day now! So that’s my main focus at the moment. Afterwards I have a single coming soon called "Gravity" and another single I’m featured in called "Wolfgang". I have a upcoming tour this summer 08/21/201 “East Coast Meets Dirty South Tour” it’s a 10 city tour and I can’t wait!!!
