  • Tri-Clark Records New Recording Artist Lay Boogie Interview

DJ Duce interviews Tri-Clark Records new recording artist Lay Boogie on being newly signed and about the new music that is on the way. DJ Duce: What do you look forward to in your music career being newly signed in 2020-2021? What is your passion behind your music? Lay Boogie: My music career. I’m just going to keep doing more music and letting people hear my voice. More music runs on my dad and moms sides of the family. My passion behind my music is being a good mother with my first child. Rapping about the good and bad things in life and trying to stay on a positive level. Being a successful female artist is really my desire. Also hope to bring my best to Tri-Clark Records. DJ Duce: The Female Artist wave has been very predominate in hip-hop music, especially in the last decade. What do you bring to the table that other female artists don't? What separates yourself from the competition? Lay Boogie: If you listen to my music, you can hear the difference with me and other female artist. I’m talking real life things, rhymes kids will hear and repeat and not get in trouble for. When you have females artists today like Cardi B or Megan Da Stallion making the songs they’re making and not really thinking about the younger generation. The new generation of kids hearing it, don’t get me wrong they’re successful. Me as a young adult with 4 younger siblings that listen to my music, I wouldn’t allow them to listen to any explicit music. DJ Duce: In 5 years, where do you want to be in music? Where do you see your music career in 5 years? Lay Boogie: In 5 years, I wanna be far farther than where I’m at now and to be on the top of current female artists. I see my music career rising and shooting like a star over this industry. If I make the right decisions, I have the support now. Shout out to Tri-Clark Records! Magnetic, my twin brother D-a Capone and his good friend JtDaLegend. Also my father. My plans now I’m expecting my first child any day now! So that’s my main focus at the moment. Afterwards I have a single coming soon called "Gravity" and another single I’m featured in called "Wolfgang". I have a upcoming tour this summer 08/21/201 “East Coast Meets Dirty South Tour” it’s a 10 city tour and I can’t wait!!! Lay Boogies Social Media Facebook Apple Music

  • Interview With Tri-Clark Records Artist Da-Capone

DJ Duce interviews Tri Clark Records recording artist Da-Capone on his early start in music. DJ Duce: Since making music at the age of 10, how has music changed over the years? Did you have to adjust your music with the times? Da-Capone: It changed drastically over the years. The new generation is changing the music game. Some are rapping and singing, real stuff! Others are rapping about things that’s irrelevant, committing murders then dropping a song about it. All the kids around my age and it’s sad. Us as kids thought the music we was hearing was actually something but in reality, these so called rappers, rapping about illegal things and the murders they committed. To me that’s not cool! Drill music started going up. At the time, I was doing the same as other young artists was doing and wasn’t really talking about the good. I was always bringing the bad sides of things and barley spoke about the good. During them years, I wasn’t really thinking before rapping. When it came to dropping a song back then or making one, I always felt like I had to fit in with the other young artists. That wasn’t really doing good music at the same time. DJ Duce: You took a break from music to focus more on life. Share how that break helped you and how you plan to use that in your music? Da-Capone: We come from a dark place. Every artist is struggling because the struggle was real, for me being 3 of 8 kids. My mother being a single mother I witnessed hell. My mother been through and back, so I motivated myself saying “mom can’t do everything on her own”. There’s 4 young an 4 older siblings. I just felt like I had to be the one to change that all. So music for me, just wasn’t a thing any more. I was looking life more than anything. I just stared focusing on me and helping my mom out no matter what I felt like. Music was just a distraction to me at the time and I wasn’t really getting anywhere or attracting the attention. So I said forget this music stuff, it’s time to be a family man. DJ Duce: Give us more insight on how your father and step father influenced your own music? Da-Capone: My father was once in a music group called “ Dirty Dudez”. Being there, seeing him do his thing didn’t motivate me at first. It did open my eyes to where I was looking at it and thought my dad is a rapper! It sparked something in me, that told me right then and there that this is something I see myself doing when I get older. Made good songs such “ A savage in the booth” which I deeply feel is one of his hardest song he’s ever made. Not to mention my step dad, he is a hard mc himself. There are songs I dig deeply as well, but one song that caught my attention. I also told myself I can do a song just as great as theirs! DJ Duce: In 5 years, where do you want to be in music? Where do you see your music career in 5 years? Da-Capone: In 5 years tops, I see myself on stage rapping my heart out to a sold out crowd and show with just everyone chanting! That’s a dream I had and I’m going turn it into reality! Where I’m at now with my music, I believe I would be a lot further to my goal and that is getting my family out of the hood, onto some hills. I'm going stick behind my words and not give up. I can’t give up now. I made it this far, so why stop now. I got to my prove to the ones that think I ain’t going to make it that D-a isn’t next up when I’m already an next up. I also want to build a strong relationship with Tri Clark Records and the current artists that’s signed with the label. Also, I have a lot of new music coming real soon! My first tour as well starts on 08/13/21 and its called "East Coast Meets Dirty South Tour". A 10 city tour, and I can’t wait for the fun to begin!
